Atlantic Boccia Challenge — Volunteer Opportunities
The very first Atlantic Boccia Challenge is coming to Halifax on May 16, 2026, and we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help bring this exciting new event to life!
Boccia Nova Scotia, together with Para Sport New Brunswick, Para Sport & Recreation PEI, and Boccia Newfoundland & Labrador, is thrilled to launch this brand‑new regional competition—an event that will unite athletes from across Atlantic Canada for a full day of sport, community, and celebration.
This inaugural Challenge is a milestone for Boccia in our region. Hosted at West Bedford High School, it will highlight the spirit of Boccia while giving new and emerging athletes the chance to experience tournament play in a supportive, welcoming environment.
Volunteer Roles
Whether you’re brand new to Boccia or already familiar with the sport, there’s a place for you on our team. We’re looking for volunteers to support:
- Event set‑up and take‑down — helping prepare courts, equipment, and taping
- Scoring and timing — assisting on‑court during matches
- Call Room & Registration — welcoming athletes, organizing match flow, and keeping things running smoothly
Do I Need Experience?
Not at all! No experience is required.
We’ll provide all the training you need at our volunteer orientation session.
