Volunteer with Boccia Nova Scotia

Become a part of the Boccia Nova Scotia community. Discover how you can contribute to an inclusive paralympic sport and make a real difference.

Make a meaningful impact

When you volunteer with Boccia Nova Scotia, you're not just offering your time; you're becoming a part of a supportive and inspiring community. Learn about the inclusive sport of Boccia, gain invaluable experience, and receive training and mentoring in areas like coaching and refereeing. You'll assist at events and practices, directly contributing to the growth and enjoyment of this unique paralympic sport.

Roles where you can help

Our volunteers are the backbone of our operations. There are many ways you can lend a hand, from preparing for events to supporting athletes on the court. Typical tasks include practice set up and take down, assisting players with equipment and during gameplay, and supporting coaches and referees, helping at events. Your contributions ensure our practices and events run smoothly and are enjoyable for everyone.

Who we are looking for

We welcome everyone eager to help and learn. While specific experience is not required, qualities like being friendly, respectful, having a sense of humour, and a willingness to help are highly valued. We appreciate individuals who are open to improvising and chipping in as needed, and who have a desire to learn more about this paralympic sport. All volunteers should provide a criminal record/vulnerable sector check with their application.  Contact us and we'll send you an application.
